I would suggest so - and also beef up the primary relief teaching. Plus, I am finding here that word of mouth, it's not what you know but who you know etc is big! Ask her to tell the head teachers...

Hi - I would suggest going into substitute teaching as primary, get a bit of experience then look for something more permanent.

I am in a similar position myself and I'm looking at revamping my CV...

I teach English. I would rather teach in a private school - mainly due to job security (as from my understanding you are employed by the state not the school so in theory can be moved between state...

Thanks again. In the applications I've put in I've talked about how I would uphold the values of the school and would fully take part in the life of the school but nadda.... I'm getting a bit peed...

Thanks - I've not actually applied for Catholic yet - just Baptist. I think you can get accreditation to teach in Catholic schools which might be worth getting.
