I had the same problem 3 years ago when I landed in Ottawa. The best quote I got for a new car was from Belair Direct. $1400 for a year. I've been with them ever since.

Sorry! Not enough coffee today. I should rephrase that : It was the return flight to Canada so it looked like a one way flight in the system (so the check-in agent told me).

My son is 2 1/2 and also has nut allergies. We found out pretty much the same way, went to the doctors and had the tests done then found out that he also has poppy seed and sesame seed allergies too....

There are quite a few paths that will take you downtown - personally i've been from Stittsville to the Parliament buildings without any problems. I work in Kanata and we even have a couple of guys...

I did get a credit card when I landed in Canada, albeit with a low limit. I applied when I opened my bank account the day after landing (with TD). I think it really just depends on who is opening...

We live in Stittsville, about 8km further west, but my outlaws do live near the Centrum in Kanata.
On the whole its a pretty nice place to live, a very family oriented community and not too...
