We paid £3000 for 20ft container - we were quoted for half a container at £2500, which would have been shipped to Montreal or Toronto, and then our stuff loaded onto a truck for transport to NS....

We used Simpsons in Kent - £2960 for a 20ft, 3% insurance, Kent to Halifax. Very nice folk at the UK end, container should be arriving next week (under 4 weeks :))

Currently going through the LMO process - using an Immigration consultant who say the LMO will take 2-4 weeks. You can then take a chance on picking up your WP at the airport, or wait another 5-6...

I think his key word there was "available" - meaning that as he pays off the mortgage, the amount available to him to spend in emergencies etc up to his exisiting LOC gets bigger. :)
