I have a 5 year temporary visa, (with NO pathway to PR) but I managed to get a permanent job with a large company, very easily.

So it can be done - best of luck in your search :thumbsup:

This is a more normal size for the orb weavers, but as you can see there are lots of them! At one point I had 24 above the garden area.

My medicare card says something along the lines of 'immediate necessary care only', so from that I'm assuming that I'll get treated if I break my leg in an accident but not if I contract an illness. ...

Even if your temporary visa is for one million years you are still classed as a visitor as far as medicare are concerned. Same goes for credit cards etc.

They display them next to the cigarettes etc and you just point and ask. I used to buy a new one every few weeks for the free credit.

To activate you just go on the website and type in the sim...

Same. I have a 5 yr visa and got a 1 yr card no questions asked. "NECESSARY CARE ONLY". It ran out a while back and I havent bothered renewing it.
