Bathroom scales should be fine. Just stand on them and then reset your scales to zero, then get back on holding your case and voila you have the weight of your case.

From what I can gather from earlier posts (try search on red books), you dont necessarily need all your notes, as in OZ you can go and see any doctor at any time, not like staying with GP in UK. So...
