Depending on when/if we get our visa we are looking at going October time but may end up later. We too will be flying with Emirates from Birmingham with stop-over in Dubai and also heading to Perth. Hoping to settle down Halls Head way. What about you?

Got the visa. House on the market (hopefully sold). Hoping to fly out to Perth on 5 August. We'll be flying out of Heathrow - aiming for the 12 noon flight with Singapire Airlines.

Hello all
wow sounds like alot of people are going in september/october this year cool
maybe we should have an arival party in perth haha after we have all settled in.
we have got a holliday rental in joondalup for 3 weeks with a pool hahaha (cool) and we are looking at getting a rental in that area, depending on schools for our 2 kids. we are going to rent a car for 1 week and hope to get two of our own in that week. then its time to look for a job, there is lots of chefs jobs out there so it should be good.the kids are looking forward to it as well, mind they are only 6 and 3 WE JUST WANT TO GO NOW!
hope it all goes well for you all

Still a bit stunned and shocked at getting the visa was a bit quicker than anticipated.
We are hoping to go Secret Harbour area as we fell in love with it on a reccie at christmas time.
Our kids are 6 and 3 also Greg 6 and Beth 3. Hubby works offshore and I'm a relief medical receptionist. He may have to work offshore to start with out there so I'll be billy no mates.
I find this emigrating thing all a bit overwhelming! We do have good friends in the Perth area who we went to see at christmas and we had the best christmas ever.
Does your wife work?
I can't believe the weather is scorching in Scotland but I know it is short lived.
