hi did the company at the Aussie end try to charge you for customs handling? Australasian relocations asked for $910, reduced it to $530 and the container hasnt even been checked by customs yet. ...

we leave UK in 11 days so I am stuffing myself full of fruit. There is no way I'll be able to deprive our toddler of her bananas when in Perth, I'll have to sit and wait for the leftovers...

just found out our shipping (shared container) will leave UK 12 Nov and arrive Freo, Perth 18 Dec. Worried that it will sit in port for a couple weeks minimum and possibly longer, anyone...

Thanks everyone. Hoping we only need use of for month or so, but at $25 a year seems like it could be worth joining. Have done some more searching and there is another in the hills at Mundaring.

pricey indeed and I bet the £145 plus vat doesnt actually cover postage but simply providing address for 12 mths. youch. will look into his further. There must be more companies like this too

Well, we have finally decided to go with European Van lines. DB & Excess were good at reducing quotes & I would have been happy to go with eirther but EVL came in at £2375 and it was too good to...

yes they do from time to time. maybe if we use them and they are decent we can write decent feedback on this forum. anyhow EVL have just offered £75 reduction for cash payment

Cash Payment for shipping - risks??

We may get a reduced rate if we pay in full by cash for our shipping (shared container 650 cubic foot). Can anyone think of any risks involved should we take this option?
