Cash Payment for shipping - risks??

We may get a reduced rate if we pay in full by cash for our shipping (shared container 650 cubic foot). Can anyone think of any risks involved should we take this option?

If you pay by credit card, then this will not happen. The credit card company will reimburse you.
Obviously this nightmare scenario doesn't happen a lot, but it *has* happened to someone in the forum here!

No, sadly there isn't. Payments with bank notes, debit cards, and cheques do not give you any protection if the removals firm goes bust.
