i would say if you are coming to alberta for construction jobs dont bother this summer, things have slowed here big time, and i work in construction, housing starts are down 66% since last...

i have had that comment directed at me a few times, i just laughed at the person that made it, there is no recession in calgary, especially in the construction industry, lots of useless morons...

i am not sure what the sitution is with nvq's, i have the red seal so that was accepted straight away. In the winter we cover the scaffold with tarps and heat it so its not a problem with the cold....

there is plenty of work in alberta just depends if you want to get off your arse and go get it.The residental side of construction has slowed down big time, but that was at stupid levels anyway, no...

now problems with with working all winter in calgary, we only stop when it gets to minus 25 or lower and thats only because the labourers moan about the cold. Plenty of work all year round and all...
