Been together over 9yrs, 2 children, HAD a joint mortgage (until we came here), joint bank acct, life insurance etc etc.......

Same here, where we are is beautiful, but the same over. I find myself travelling for miles to visit a beach exactly the same as the one i live near.

Do you have any recommendations of other towns...

How long have you been away? I think that Worthing is OK, has a good town centre - all the staples: M&S, Topshop, Boots, Debenhams, BHS, would say woolworths but that's gone:( TK Max, Monsoon,...

Thanks for that. He is 5 this July - is it true that LEGALLY you have to send kids to school the term following their 5th Birthday? If thats the case it would be Sept.

Been here 11months, not stopped thinking about the UK in all that time. Hated Oz when first arrived but have come to like it here, but still didn't want to stay....

Hi Cricket,

If anything the RE would gain, we are at the end of our lease and intend to pay the last wks rent so there would be no rent outstanding.

We have just read so many horror stories...

I think that once you have made the decision that you want to move to another country then you are best to go and give it a go, and, if it doesn't work out then at least you will have given it a try...
