There is very little to choose between the cities - however I would go where my friends were - the first year is usually the hardest - having friends will make it much simpler - you can always move...

Australia is a great place - open, outdoor life and in many respects wonderful.

My story is that I emigrated to melbourne in Apr 2004 - got lucky - a good job paying almost 70% of what I got in UK...
