Re: Requirement for migrating teacher?

He needs to be 4 year BEd or 3 year degree + 1 Year PGCE trained in order to pass skills assessment. If he has GTP or 3 year BEd he won't pass I'm afraid.

Re: Ofsted slams ICT teaching as student numbers tumble

One of the main reasons the GCSE figures have dropped so dramatically for ICT is because of all the mickey mouse qualifications that have been brought in, and the schools taking them up because of...

Re: Teaching jobs

[QUOTE=Turban Explorer;9763286]I think it's pretty similar here for permanent positions. Ed Qld post jobs but seem to refuse point blank to respond to emails or phone calls. I think the job went long...

Re: Teaching jobs

If you google each state and Dept of Education, each state gov handles their own teaching jobs, for eg, in South Australia its DECS and all the vacancies are on their own website (here...

Re: Dubai Teaching - Senior Leader posts

Yes it stays live, you just pick it up from where you left, but obviously there will be implications to your final pension - as you say given the changes I'm not sure what exactly those will be due...

Re: Dubai Teaching - Senior Leader posts

Can't help with regards to Dubai personally, but with regards to this:

Re: Sight reading Any Primary teachers here Aus

As with anything education wise, its just the merry-go-round going around - there is talk in my area in the UK about a move away from Phonics, so it will go back that way, then people will 'discover'...

Re: Emmigrating on a WHV- will this work?

Can I ask what you are basing it on though - on another website forum I've been reading (which I don't think we are allowed to name on here) there is a massive thread with a tracker and people...

Re: Teaching Jobs/Advice.

Primary teachers are no longer on the SOL for 175 visas, SA is the only state sponsoring them currently (or was a couple of months back, I haven't kept up to date with any changes there might have...

Re: Credit card payment for Online 176 App

You can also use a debit card instead of a credit card, if that helps at all (we did, as we don't actually have any credit cards).

Re: Teacher skills assessment for Australia

Your induction year counts for very little - it is only your induction year in the UK to allow you to continue to teach in the state sector in the UK - it doesn't convey any other status on you as...

Re: So did you tell the truth or lie?

In my case it...

Re: SA State Sponsorship points requirement

You don't get points to apply for State Sponsorship (but you do get points for getting it towards your 176 visa), you just need to meet the basic requirements.
Step 1: Check your job is on the SA...

Re: how do I get sponsorship from a school?

Depending on when next year you want to be there - either apply for a 176 with various states sponsoring Science teachers, or go for the 175 if Victoria isn't (Sorry, my SMP knowledge is a couple of...

Re: teacher training for a visa?

Re: 3 year teaching degree (+ general emigrating) help please.....

Re: What can I do to increase my chances of work in US? (experiences please)

Honestly? If this is from a UK school = sweet FA - lesson observations mean absolutely nothing, you could say you had received 100 'outstanding' graded observations a) there is no way of proving it...
