Thanks Tr1boy. Godalming was a place on my list but I thought it would be a pretty expensive place for rentals etc. It's prime commuter belt, isn't it? It's a lovely area to live.

I'm researching area's to move to when we get back to the UK next year, ideally within a 20-30min drive of Egham/Staines, which is where my family are.

I moved away from the area in 2001...
