Some will be used for Veal or low grade beef, skins are sometimes used for leather goods but majority are deemed useless and are composted or used for your blood and bone fertilizer.

and if you travel 30 mins out of suburbia you can have a beautiful semi-rural acreage block lifestyle. Sovereign Hill in Gabbadah is lovely or Guilderton.

All I know is in WA they do, I would assume that to be the same for all of Australia as this is usually government funded but that would be up to the individual to check out for the area they live in...
