One downside is that you would be called up if there ever was a draft. There may be others downsides too.

Thanks again.

Just dehydrated?

Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to give advice on the below.

Basically, the neighbours have the same small lawn, which they astroturfed about a year ago. Since then, our...

Re: KATA and ELT

It would be good to find out how & if the flat tax (átalányadó) would work for private language teachers. I have heard that the total tax contributions add up to about 40% of revenues, which I...

Cool KATA and ELT

Hello Everyone.

IMHO, the new KATA deserves its own thread. As regards the foreign community, this might affect more fields than just language teaching.

Firstly, there is a very good breakdown...

Re: English speaking Accountant

Thank you all for the recommendations.

I keep a list of English-speaking professionals and business owners for the other expats in my region. You have contributed to that too.

Hello everyone,

Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Please PM me. The location of his/her office doesn't matter.

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Anyone driven UK < -- > Hungary recently?

A friend of mine has just come back from Austria. Leaving Hungary (by road at Hegyeshalom) there were checks for vaccine certificates and valid reasons for travel. Not so on the return leg.

Re: Air Con engineer

I know someone from Western Transdanubia who could do it, but I don't know if he would be willing to go that far for the work. He speaks very basic English. PM if you want the contact details.
