Re: Moving to Sydney... help please...

It really depends what time you leave home... by car, at peak times, it could take you up to 45 minutes to even an hour (but that's standard for Sydney commutes from the Northern Beaches into the...

Smile Re: Moving to Sydney... help please...

Hi Kitten
I can certainly recommend the Northern Beaches - we love it! However some areas are nicer than others... Seaforth is nice & very family oriented. Dee Why ... hmmm you do have to be a bit...

Re: Schools

Re: Schools

It depends if you're going private or state school. Year 7 is a big intake year for private high schools because many kids go to public (state) schools until then & then, go private for high school....

Re: FINANCIALLY THE WORST TIME TO IMMIGRATE EVER

We're in Sydney - have been here three years & prices have rocketed in property & most things since we have been here, particularly in the last year. For anyone moving to Sydney (can't comment on...

Re: Sydney here we come!

To echo the previous comment, the Maritime museum is a definite must for boys of your age. Any kids I've taken there love the Endeavour & the submarine that you can go on (for an extra charge - can't...

Re: Primary School

I completely agree about thinking carefully about where to place your child when you come over here. It's a difficult decision because the year ages are so different. Your instinct is to keep them...

Re: Sydney - Location location location!!

Avalon is at least an hour & a half commute to the city. For those of us who live up on the Northern Beaches, we know better than to go beyond the Avalon bends if you're commuting to the city. Once...
