Re: L1A to Green Card timeline

Congrats! We had our biometrics appt yesterday (myself, wife, 2 kids). I'm expecting our I-693 / medical exam RFE soon.

Can I ask how you worked out which vaccines were needed for the kids? I...

Re: L1A to Green Card timeline

Thanks. I didn't have too much choice as I was out the country securing an L-1B to L-1A amendment and had to rush back and get the paperwork in before May 1st - as EB3 RoW retrogressed for the first...

Re: L1A to Green Card timeline

Out if interest, when did you submit your medical / I-693? We submitted our docs minus the medical 2 weeks ago with I-140 premium processing. Expecting an RFE for the medical.

L-1A - sharing recent embassy experience

Contributing my experience of a successful L-1A appointment, since this forum has been a useful resource for me.

I was on an L-1B, with my family on L-2s, from March 2018 to March 2023. Having...

Re: L1 - attorney / lawyer recommendations for great service

Go for a relatively small firm with a dedicated team of attorneys who have a good track record. My company uses a large national firm with an immigration arm and they are absolutely terrible.

Re: Where is the anger?

I know, me too! This forum seriously needs a "reaction" option: like / thumbs up / laugh.

Re: Where is the anger?

Alright, we can retitle the thread now. I propose "US Travel Ban - general discussion"

Re: Where is the anger?

Evidently not much is going on in his head. He can't even recall the name of the Australian Prime Minister (go to 20:39): https://youtu.be/gM0S8OwNiFY?t=1236

Re: Where is the anger?

John, I think the only person who's going to being pulled over cannabis use is yourself after making this post.

Re: Where is the anger?

As Charles Cooke said on his interview, "the President is surrounded by people who are hysterical on this issue" and "[the policy] would not be put into place now".

Re: Where is the anger?

I don't know how many times I need to state this: Biden implemented the travel ban on the UK. Trump lifted one before leaving office. Please get your facts straight. I am no fan of Biden's...

Re: Where is the anger?

Charles Cooke covered the issue well on Fox News yesterday: https://video.foxnews.com/v/6272340062001?s=09#sp=show-clips

Also good to see some ambassadors to the US (from Ireland, NL, Poland) and...

Re: Where is the anger?

Actually, I disagree. I believe residents of the US have political influence en masse, regardless of citizenship status.

I see two prevailing attitudes here:

Empathy over the situation, but...

Re: Where is the anger?

Good for you. Neither do I. Now tell me why I have to go through different covid restrictions than a USC, despite legally living, working, and being vaccinated in the US.

My anger is that I am...

Re: Where is the anger?

That's mostly right, but there's a key point to make here: Trump briefly lifted the ban on travel from the UK before leaving office, and Biden reinstated it. Biden did not extend or continue this...

Re: Where is the anger?

Wrong and wrong.

Biden introduced a...

Re: Where is the anger?

We're British citizens who don't have our GCs yet. We have L-1 visas. Apparently, L-1 visa holders who have resided in the US for years, and gotten vaccinated in the US, are as much a threat to the...

Re: Where is the anger?

I earn over $150k; my wife does not. We'd have been eligible for something if we were USCs/GCs who filed as married. The same goes for the child tax credits. We don't receive the extended child tax...

Angry Where is the anger?

I'm in several British expat groups and I feel like I am in the minority with my frustrations over Biden's travel ban.

We haven't been able to get over to the UK for 2 years. I live in fear of my...

Re: L-1 RFE

I saw some stats from a legal firm that evidenced a higher number of initial submissions are being returned for more information. And then more are ultimately being rejected after the RFE. I am...

L-1 RFE

Anyone received a RFE on their L-1 renewal lately? I am on an L-1B and currently in the 240 day temp extension period after the first three years of my visa lapsed. I also have a GC application...
