When I first came over in the 70s we were called "DPs" meaning Displaced Persons.

Often used in phrases similar to "You f*****g DPs are coming here and taking all the jobs."

I can't give you much information about Windsor.
We live out in the county and only go there when we have to, because neither the wife or I are fans of the city.
It seems at least as safe as most...

Look into where we live.
Locally known as the "Sun Parlor"
As far south as you get in Canada.
Windsor is the main City, but you are only half an hours drive from the wine route and Lake Erie....

Living reasonably and depending how close you are to the bigger cities, you can pay from $450 to $650 a month to rent a 2 bedroom condo.
Obviously you can pay much more if you go overboard.

There was a statistical analysis done by some research group a few years ago in Britain.

It showed that the longer the incarceration, the less likely to reoffend.

Long sentences seem beneficial...
