From my experience of several instances of sciatica ,physio is useless. Best treatment I have had is chiropratic but sorry don't know of one in Spain/Portugal. Try Googling it. Good luck.

We had the same problem and I managed to buy a piece of clear perspex which I cut to size with circular saw and sanded clean. Works a treat.
