Re: no green card lotto in UK..Why?

Re: Having seconds thoughts on USA (after 5 years in NYC)

I noticed all your negatives (apart from daycare) while visiting NYC before I moved. I previously lived in W London and most applied there too.

What do you miss about England? I came for a 2 year...

Re: Stuck at a cross roads

Could she move to the UK at least until you're in a better place with your family situation? Starting a marriage while wracked with guilt wouldn't help either.

Re: Engineering student looking to move to Hawaii?

On the bright side, America (like most countries) has a real shortage of engineers and I doubt getting sponsored will be a huge challenge. The only issue would be availability of work in Hawaii.

Re: Feeling defeated, anyone given up and moved 'Home'?

I've met a few sad types who f'd up their entire careers just to live here. God knows why. In a couple cases they remained relentlessly upbeat about the land of opportunity etc. I've even seen a few...

That 47% of the voting public wanted at the helm. Just like they did Bush, Reagan etc.

Can we please just accept the USA for what it is, rather than the enlightened society people on here want it...
