To be deemed skilled in a particular occupation, you need some experience so some experience will be knocked off. The experience that will be reduced depends on your academic qualifications.

For such a case, 2 ways:

1. Get new assessment.

2. Apply with old assessment but be prepare to furnish proofs to your CO that you have continued with same profile (perhaps same job) over this...

Yes it'll be very good if you get it. I had contacted the HR of my previous employer along with my ex-Manager.

They issued me a letter after some clarifications as to why I wanted such a letter.

They will look at both the old evaluation (based on old documents) and the new documents.
I hope you haven't provided any information in new documents which conflicts with old documents.
