Re: Buying a car in BC

Nothing that compares buying in the UK to buying in Canada is 'potentially useful'. He isn't comparing buying a car in the UK to buying in Canada, he is ONLY talking about buying in Canada. ...

Re: What way do I go

I am not an expert on all things visa related but I would think that your existing family members here might have some impact on what visa you might be eligible for. There would seem to be a case...

Re: Cheapest time to book flights to Van?

The Oil Companies do indeed use dynamic pricing to determine the price at the gas pump Aviator. Only the few independent gas stations left do not. They usually price based on the cost to fill their...

Re: A bit of advice about moving to Toronto

It's a good point to bring up property tax. It can indeed vary a great deal and without providing any signifigant difference in the services you get for your money.

Property tax is assessed based...

Re: MoneySense Best Places to Live in Canada

Any study of 'quality of life' etc. that is done will come up with a list that makes sense RELATIVE to the criteria used. Change any of the criteria and you will change the list obviously.

If you...

Re: Subaru cars

"Relative niche brands like Subaru sell strongly in markets where AWD practicality makes sense. Locally they're very common, when I travel to the coast, they appear less so."

Came over to see this thread from your other thread on having a baby. I have to say Markholly that it reads to me that you are trying to move too fast and simply haven't done enough research before...

This getting beyond ridiculous. Now I am reading that you will not have a visa to live and work in Canada? Is that right?

Look at this logically. Giving birth costs money. Someone has to pay...

I would agree that without being bilingual, finding jobs in your areas of experience will be very difficult. I would also agree that you need to be more open to ANY job if you need to earn some...

Re: Cheapest time to book flights to Van?

Re: Visa Agent recommendations

I would ask what you mean by 'not settled' and the 'why' of it. When you say, "mainly due to my husband's work situation", what does that mean? Are you not happy because he can't find work or what?...

Re: Any advice on moving to Leslieville? Or The Beaches?

Have you physically been to both areas to see what they are like catherined?

That would be the first thing to do. You can check schools online but you can't get a 'feel' for a place online.

I hope that clarifies what I meant.
