Thanks guys, since last night I have been offered a job, so I don't have to waist money coming over for that week I had planned. Coming over mid May now to do my test and get out on the road... Can't wait I'm dead chuffed :-)

Slippy...I too have been following this thread with great interest, but nothing useful to add...except now I can add a great big Congratulations.
Do have a search for any piece of paper, no matter how irrelevant you may feel it to be, it's always a good idea, and this mob are 'bit of paper mad'. You might have some piece of written something about your apprenticeship?

Thanks Millie, yeh I've sent away for school stuff. Hopefully I'll get something back I can use lol but other than that I'll just have to sit that GED test when the time comes... Even saying that if I get a couple of years seeing Canada and America driving around in they big bad boy trucks and I have to come home then so be it, least I've fulfilled my dream :-) or I'll find myself a fine Canadian lassie lol happy days. Thanks for posting and wishing me luck anyway matey.

My hubby has a job offer and has been told he has 2 years to complete his GED test as he completed school but didn't take any exams which he know wishes he has but hindsight is a wonderful thing. He has the GED book to help with his exam. Who will you be working for slippy?
