A real long shot but my cousin has been let down with the villa in Mallorca they had booked, the owners have just cancelled the booking due to an "apparent" kitchen fire. Does anyone know of a villa...

Yes it's do-able on that budget, how decent I don't know as I've never rented but as a rule of thumb you'll generally get cheaper or more...

I live in Javéa which is about an hour North of Alicante airport but has a large expat community(which is the case for a lot of areas...

I'm not sure about "stand alone" public toilets but all cafes, restaurants and bars will have toilets you can use as well as places like shopping centres, some supermarkets etc will have them.

I guess taking any tenant can be risky in regards to how they treat the house, noise, complaints etc whether you use an agency or find one yourself, you just have to try and manage the risk as best...
