I have vague memories of getting white fillings from my NHS dentist and paying a little bit more. I didn't realise you could still get amalgam though. I'd go white every time.

Thank you for all your comments and thoughts. The info about dentists was interesting as I had forgotten a lot about dentists, particularly the need to go private for most, if not all, treatments....

I have the throwaway email address for these things,. I never thought to use an address like that. I've sometimes used my most recent UK address but only if I'm sure it won't generate post. Thank you.

Yes, this is one of the sites that gave more basic requirements. The official page also lists similar requirements. I wonder why other sources are listing so many others and what their sources are.
