Re: Overcrowding

I live in Malta and it feels overcrowded. I can't see that improving any time soon. It's also an island wide construction site, taking a photo without the "national bird" (a crane) is night on...

Re: Budgeting for your move when you can't get quotes

I'm fairly creative but I think I just need to think outside the box a little. The car tax was the biggest mind boggler so far. I couldn't follow how it's calculated. Might pass that one to the...

Re: Budgeting for your move when you can't get quotes

I have the throwaway email address for these things,. I never thought to use an address like that. I've sometimes used my most recent UK address but only if I'm sure it won't generate post. Thank you.

Re: Do NOT leave Spain without your Resident card

My husband flew twice a week with Easyjet for the last 18 months, I was a regular as well. While we've encountered the odd grumpy one we've usually found the staff, especially the crews onboard, to...

Re: Do NOT leave Spain without your Resident card

I couldn't pick her out in a crowd of two now but the experience will stay with me for a long time. My husband would be able to make the doll tho!

Strangely, we had just laughed over coffee about...

Re: Spanish government declares state of alarm

I had a rental car booked in Alicante when I landed there yesterday. I had heard about the more than one in a car rule so before picking up the car I spoke to three policemen at Alicante Airport....

Re: Moving to Canada for over 50's

Yah!!! thank you. I said to my hubby the other day that I wish I had studied nursing. I was an EMT once upon a time but my registration lapsed when I moved country and couldn't renew it.

Re: Moving to Canada for over 50's

Thanks, I've spent so much time plotting out the competitions I'll play in around Ontario but I haven't yet done the same in the Atlantic Provinces.
