I also had people telling me that the job situation was scarce but managed to get a job within about 3 weeks of...

Visiting Australia on a one year working holiday visa

My mate is coming to NZ with me and we're looking at a short trip to Sydney.
Does he need to get a visa for the trip?

I'm right in assuming i can walk in with my NZ passport without a problem.

Thank you very much everyone. I emailed west pac yesterday and they gave me lots of information. Is there a monthly charge for most banks in NZ.

Looking at my emails, it looks like it took 50-55 days for the NZQA process, if thats what you mean?

Im moving to Auckland at the start of November and don't start my teaching contract untiL late January. Looking to get a bar job to meet people and make a little bit of extra pocket money until then....

They qualification will be fine, I'm working in a public school (I think). Don't think it hurt that the interviewing head was Scottish too :p.

It's near Auckland, Glendowie I think. Sacred heart boys school. I'll be teaching Maths. Can't wait! Just need to get some temp. Work over in uk for sept/October.

Hi!

I'm in the middle of doing a similar thing. The first thing I did was got the NZQA to check my qualifications and say what the equivalent NZ qualifications would be. I have a bachelors degree...

Got it! Start in feb although as I'm arriving in November they've offered to give me some part time relief work to hit the ground running! Over the moon...thanks for the luck! :)

I joined a teaching agency last week. Now I've got a Skype interview tonight with a school! :unsure: never had one of these before and I'm bricking it. What's the norm?
