Re: Moving to spain - Valencia

No. It's true. Especially around the University areas (Tarrongers). And you can get a very decent three course meal including beer or wine for maybe 6€. These places are full. They are not desperate...

Re: Moving to spain - Valencia

Monthly bills? I'm a single dad with a 10 year old daughter. I guess I spend about 700€ a month on utilities, food, clothes, etc.

Re: Moving to spain - Valencia

Valencia is a lovely city. It has everything you would need along with a beautiful climate and a rich history. I've lived and worked here for 12 years now and I consider it my home. I have no...

Re: Tax in Spain

It would depend on how many children you have living with you etc. But, 27,500€ gross per annum might give you about 1790€ net per month if they give you 12 payments a year (sometimes it's 14).

Re: Declaring worldwide assets to Hacienda

I agree that there may be cases where people declare assets on the 720 and hacienda determine that back tax is due. That is fair enough, and I have no problem with that. But to state, and I quote,...

Re: Declaring worldwide assets to Hacienda

our latest advice is that everybody who has submitted form 720 will get a tax bill.

That is ridiculous. I think you are scaremongering here. What basis do you have for making such a statement?...

Re: Techie question re' relay switch for home use

Yes, my thoughts too were that 12W was too little to move a blind. To the OP - is this a blind that is already working by an electric motor or something that you intend to build yourself?

Re: Techie question re' relay switch for home use

The power of your motor must be less than 12 Watts (12v x 1A). If the AC adapter is reasonably efficient, (they usually are) then we can assume that the power needed to drive it might be about 20 W....

Re: Declaring worldwide assets to Hacienda

Regarding the story in the CB news posted by Lenox above - I don't think that this has anything to do with the 720 thing. It has always been the case that if you sell an asset (wherever in the world)...

Re: Please help, we don´t know what to do.

If you don't know where they live, then you can't hand it back, can you? The right thing to do is to hand it into plod as lost property and move on. Job done. I don't think you should delete the...

Re: Declaring worldwide assets to Hacienda

Yes, my original question was nothing to do with state pensions, it was to do with a personal pension fund accumulated in the UK, and as I now understand from the hacienda FAQ there is no need to...
