Are all the photos of a sensitive nature? If not, maybe you could tell them you just looked at the first couple of (ordinary) pics and identified them from that.

I doubt that unless you say there are interesting pictures on. If the police looked at the pictures how would they know who they are looking at? They must get 100's of cameras/phones handed in which can all take pictures. Do you think the police have time to sit down and check the contents of all such found property. It would of course be different if seized as part of a crime investigation or found at the scene of a crime. But lost property??? believe me they will have a property office full of such things. To be honest I think that is the best way out of your problem you would have done nothing wrong and if they inquire at the local police station they get their camera back.

Around here city centre Alicante, it is all flats flats flats, and we don`t even know where they live..........and if it is like our mailbox, then it will not fit in, there is only a slot big enough for a thickish letter.

I think the safest solution for all concerned is for you to just get rid of the camera. If you had never found it then the situation would not have arisen.

Put it back where you found it. You will not be doing them any favours by giving it back. Any other option is likely to end in grief.

Maybe they planted the camera in such a way they knew you would find it, hoping you would volunteer to join in.

Good point about if we had never found it in the first place, I am thinking about handing it in to a local shop where they can hang it on the wall behind the counter, it will be seen there.

But I am going to delete the photos in question, I think that is the best all round, and I will say that I have only just found it, or get my friend to do it.

For all her talk about giving it back she does not want face it either, we are both cowards I suppose.

If you don't know where they live, then you can't hand it back, can you? The right thing to do is to hand it into plod as lost property and move on. Job done. I don't think you should delete the photos. It's not your property to be fiddling with. After all, they might be important for the couple concerned.

Oh and to the OP, hand it back FFS, grow a pair of balls and just hand it back. If things get awkward just laugh it off.... I hate to tell you this but people have sex, things get kinky, sex is fun.... Jeez.
