;) Well at the moment we live in Glasgow so tolerance to rain is really not an issue at all. I know that Vancouver gets lots of rain in the winter but it does get a proper summer, unlike Glasgow.

Well so far we've been hearing that Coquitlam is okay, Burnaby has its good points, Richmond isn't too bad, etc..please keep the posts coming, thank you everyone!

I think the food in Canada is more expensive because it's of a better quality than the stuff you get here in the UK...especially produce and the like.
