Hello!

We have recently completed our medicals for vancouver and are now putting serious thoughts into planning our move. How long does it take for your worldly belongings to reach Canada (Vancouver for us) when you shipped from the UK?

We are planning on going travelling and finishing in Vancouver to settle and hope our belongings would be there when we arrive especially our essentials then we could travel light.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Depends how you ship it, groups or sole use container. If by surface, anything from 4-8 weeks (assuming the container goes on the right boat!).

We're also moving out to Vancouver this year, most of the companies we've gotten quotes through have said 6-8 weeks is the standard shipping time..

We were quoted 6-8 weeks but it actually only took 4!

Tlibury to Vancouver is a 36 day transit time.

Excuse my naivety but what is the difference between groups and sole container?

so it looks like 4-8 weeks depending if it gets on the right boat lol. We plan on getting quotes nearer the time but wanted a feel for how long in advance we would need to get things in motion so thanks.

Group = you're in a container with someone else's crap and sole = you have your own container full of your own crap.
