This will all depend on whether or not you (1) intend to remain in NZ . (2) that your UK state pension is = to or equivalent to NZ superannuation. Mine was but I still elected the NZ Super.

This all depends if the OP wishes to retire to NZ or to the UK.
He cannot uplift both NZ super and UK state pension. He will choose.

At point of retirement in the UK his years of work in NZ...

My understanding is that if one is in receipt of NZ superannuation at the time of a return...
