I have found a lump and I am based near Tavira. Any recommendations for a Private facility?

We used Radis clinic for various x-rays and scans, they are good but we had GP referrals. Maybe see your GP first.

My husband had a foot scan at Taviclinic, they were efficient. I can't help with the mammogram, I had mine done in one of the mobile units last year. Do get it checked soon though.

Thank you. Just to update, I emailed Taviclinic yesterday and they called last night and arranged for an appointment this morning, I have been given a prescription to go to Radis on Monday, so I will see where things go from there.

Thought it was too good to be true. Go to Radis and first get told that they do not have the ability to do the scan and then get told the prescription is incomplete and to go back to Taviclinic. Duly do so, the receptionist frowns, adds 2 stickers to the prescription and then shrugs when I tell her that Radis said they can't do it. I asked her what I should do and she said she doesn't know, then eventually handed me a slip of paper with the name Faro Imag and I got told to try them. Disinterested at best is how I'd describe them.

That is terrible. The last thing that you need is someone with that attitude. Hope that the next step will be a better experience.

That is really terrible. This is a very long shot but if you are prepared to travel, you would be far better off using a private clinic in Spain. Vithas in Seville will do a mammogram and an ultrasound conducted by a breast specialist immediately afterwards so you know where you stand and they will tell you there and then if it's a cyst or take a sample straightaway if they think it could be sinister.

Personally, I think it would be worth the extra travel but there might be a clinic offering similar facilities in Ayamonte, Lepe or Huelva. You don't need a slip from a doctor, you just book the appointment and pay on arrival if you don't have a health insurance card.
