Thanks all, for your replies.

Davros - it's been much longer than 6 years. I left University 13 years ago, but I've just never earned over that monthly gross income threshold (until now). My...

Re: Need to renew my British passport

The post shop has forms to renew a British passport? Crazy! I would have thought they'd have the forms for NZ passports, but not any other country.

Thanks.

Re: Anybody had any luck getting any PPI back from the banks in the UK?

Yeah, kept all my financial records since leaving University so that part of it's not a problem.

My concern would be whether I'd be ignored with my correspondence coming from a NZ address...

Anybody had any luck getting any PPI back from the banks in the UK?

Hi there,

This one had completely skipped my radar. I've had a couple of friends over from the UK staying with us recently, and they were telling me about the controversy over Payment Protection...

Re: Advice for a newcomer

Hi. I work for NZ's second largest employer (I'm told) and we regularly do Skype interviews with people overseas.

Surely doing it that way would put your mind at rest greatly, rather than flying...

Window Washers At Traffic Lights

Hi all,

I've been pretty much against these guys all my life, but I'm starting to soften in my old age (well, 34). They're much more common around Auckland - especially South Auckland where I work...

Re: Finding a justice of the peace in Auckland

Great stuff thanks.

When I'm walking the dog around the neighbourhood, there's a letter box outside a house with Justice Of The Peace marked on it, so he's probably one of these guys.

That...

Re: which accommodation when we arrive in Auckland???

When my parents come over from the UK, they stay at this place - http://www.cocklebayheights.co.nz/.

It's a great place and for the price it's pretty good.

It's not exactly central - it's...

This really surprised me when I first came here.

In my hometown of Oldham, there is a large Indian, Pakistan and Bangladesh community - known to everybody as the Asian community. As it states...

Re: Hello all - Young Person(25/M) Solo Moving to NZ - Your experiences? Good/bad poi

If I was 25 and had the opportunity to, I'd be over here in a flash. I didn't come out here until I was 29, and I regret not being able to come earlier.

I don't know about finding work in your...
