Re: Sick 73 y.o. on Brit cruise ship dropped by rescuers into frigid waters

Saving a few hundred quid, is no excuse for putting someone's life on the line. The family must be distraught - what a terrible ordeal.

Re: Freedom of speech doesn't exist in the UK anymore apparently

It's not necessarily religion that's the problem, if people need something to believe or have faith in then fine - at their base level they all teach exactly the same things anyway. It's those that...

Re: Tipping

First off, places are not allowed to add 10% service charge anymore, unless they're classed as a tourist outlet, so I always ask them to remove it! They're adding the 10% illegally.

Even if I pay...

Re: Al Ain airshow

From what I can gather they were just letting people walk in anyway as the first day or so was cancelled due to bad weather, so I think they were just happy to have people there.

Re: Top Gear: talking about Mexicans

Re: Valentine's Day in Dubai....... it's a DRY one.......

I also think it's tragic that so many people seem to rely on alcohol to have a good time, how sad must their lives be for that to have to happen?

Re: Valentine's Day in Dubai....... it's a DRY one.......

Also I can't stand this attitude of many expats who think it's their god given right to drink. Booze is the cause of many hassles if you ask...

Re: Boat for a Tight Landlubber
