Yes it will still be valid, you just have to carry two passports with you when traveling into the US.

My Passport is a mess, got put through the washing machine about 2 years ago. It looks like it too. I always get worried when having to travel but it has not caused me an issue yet.

Your feeling is wrong. Millions of Muslims can attest to that. Whilst we hear of said rejection, it is not an automatic given just because you are a Muslim or have a Muslim sounding name.

Not correct. The validity of the visa is the duration of the term, as people can come and go. It should have been 3 years if that is what was approved, and could be that a mistake has been made.
