I can't afford to sponsor them as an International student. In NS, the tuition for Primary-Grade 6: $12,300, Grades 7-12: $13,600.

They are in China. Both niece and nephew's parents are struggling and work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. They don't really have time to look after or mentor them. The two little ones are very smart....

I was reading the CIC's "Sponsor your eligible relatives" but a bit confused on section "Who you can sponsor".

I talked to 4 family lawyers. Two of them know the equivalent relationship in Canada. It is equivalent to Common-law Civil Union.

I just called the office of Vital Statistics. We just need to file proof (a photocopy of the Separation Agreement) to the office to formalize it.

So cold in Canada even in Summer. Only when the temperature goes above the human body temperature, it is a joy to jump into a pool. Unless it is a heated pool, I think people won't use their pools...
