Finally got DQ’d at the NVC exactly 1 year to the day since submitting the I-130.

Waiting for my IR1 interview to be scheduled in Abu Dhabi.

Here’s to hoping it’ll be this year!

UPDATE!!

We got the i130 acceptance today! It was 8 months and 1 day since we filed it.

We chose consular processing through Abu Dhabi, does anyone have any timeline for interview allotment...

I’ve had both doses here in AD, did a walk-in at Seha and was in and out in just over an hour for the first dose. They then sent me an appointment for the second dose and I was just over an hour...

I got vaccinated the other day at SEHA too. I’m heading off to the USA next month for an extended visit so figured it was a good idea.

Congrats. Not sure if it’s been covered but I just went through the process of getting the U.K. Birth Abroad Certificate.

It was mildly painless except for the 300 Dirhams to attest the UAE birth...

I saw that around 50% of pilots were eligible for early retirement, hopefully things will be on the up and up when I arrive!

I have a B1/B2 and C1/D visa.

100% it will need to be certified, attested, translated, certified, attested and covered in stamps from multiple agencies all taking fees along the way.

Just go to your bank and get them to put your address on the statement. They really didn’t seem to care at FAB. You can then just print an online statement and send that as proof of address.
