Re: Naturalization interview!

Yes we were told to go to the SS office and tell them we're now citizens. We were told to give it 10 days, I can't remember why... not urgent for me anyway.

My registration to vote is in the mail....

Re: Naturalization interview!

Cool!

I wouldn't be concerned if it wasn't for the fact that my Aussie neighbor had his interview in May, declined the ceremony date they gave him because he had to travel with work, and is still...

Re: Naturalization interview!

Thanks everyone! :) It sure feels good to have it done. And it was almost fun.

Now the only thing to worry about is yeah, will Irma ruin my party? That would be annoying but at least we won't be...

Re: Naturalization interview!

OMG. Just found the second page, I had somehow lost it in my mess. You are both right, it does say tax returns. And a bunch of other stuff. I will read through it carefully and tick off everything...

Re: Naturalization interview!

Thanks for the reply! I just changed my location. We moved to the ATL suburbs a year ago.

So you're saying I should bring our tax return? It doesn't state that on the letter unless I missed it.

Naturalization interview!

Hi, haven't posted for a while. I used to be so much more anxious and freaked out about anything to do with immigration. Not sure why, I felt like "they were out to get me"! I'm pretty calm now. Just...

Re: Customs in Miami

I came in through Miami in 2011. It didn't take too long and my family was allowed in the room to wait with me. Some guy went to fetch our bags from the carousel which was very nice. Good luck!

Re: New US citizen leaving tomorrow, question

That's great!

One of the reasons I'm applying for citizenship is for freedom to live abroad if I ever want to (and then return to the US). But don't you have to be currently living in the US to...

Re: Florida driving license.

I failed my first driving test in Florida. I was super nervous and backed into a curb. It was kinda hard with our big SUV in a fairly small parking lot. For my retest I borrowed a smaller car and I...

Re: Current processing times for N-400 (naturalization)?

I finally got confirmation on the USPS tracking that my application was delivered. Phew. It took 2 weeks. So now I'm just waiting. My third grader has been learning about the 3 branches of...

Re: Current processing times for N-400 (naturalization)?

Great! My last update on the tracking is Feb 6 "in transit to destination". That's 4 days ago now. Ugh. Before that it said it had arrived in Dallas. So I think they probably got it by now but...

Re: pre K Katy Houston moving out soon

Good point. Katy is the same though, I just checked. 1 Sep.

So yes she will be preK age! I wouldn't worry about trying to get the vaccinations in the UK. You'll find a pediatrician in TX and they...

Re: Current processing times for N-400 (naturalization)?

I mailed my N-400 last week. No update on the USPS tracking since Friday. I'm getting slightly paranoid! Maybe new citizens are more likely to vote a certain way? Maybe applications are being...

Re: Kindergarten Registration Experience.

Yeah it shouldn't be a problem. Schools want the majority of people to register early but any newcomers who register late should be fine. Just make sure you have everything in order before you...
