Re: Applying for PR on a BUNAC -> implied status?

If you are on a BUNAC, then you are unable to extend your work visa beyond the BUNAC contact period.

Applying for PR under BUNAC does NOT allow you an extension of your status, therefore no...

Re: TWP/LMO - Realistic?

I do not mean to discourage you right now but that elusive LMO is getting harder and harder to obtain.

Re: what then??

You can apply for a job, get a positive LMO from the company and get a work visa. Depending on the job, this is quite hard to get at the moment due to the recession but not impossible.

If you have...

Re: AEO OR LMO

I do so wish that Service Canada and Immigration would sort themselves out.

Neither department has a clue what the other is doing, hence all this false information that filters through.

Re: Medical Advice Help Required

Meds in Canada are not that expensive. It cost me just 150 cad and seems that is the normal cost in BC. Not sure about other Provence's but they certainly not as expensive as the UK charges.

If...

Re: Moving with kids aged 16, 14 & 9 - what schooling opportunities are there in BC?

I came to BC in November 2007 with my then, 15 year old son. He attended the local high school in Vancouver. The biggest issue we had was that the education standard appears so much higher here.
