Default Photographs.

Hello,
i will be arriving in Canada to land shortly, and have a question for you good people.I have fairly long hair, and for the photographs i have used in my application,i have tied it back it a ponytail,so that, from the pictures,it appears that i have shortish hair, when in actual fact, its quite long, although i do keep it tied back.As the time for landing gets nearer,i am worried that this might cause problems at Immigration, has anyone been in a similar situation, any reply's would be really appreciated,
thanks.

Don't worry - just take a hairband so if they DO ask (which I doubt they would) you can tie it back and show them that TA DA it really is you :0)

Don't worry, immigration officers are trained to compare facial features, hair is usually completely ignored because people change their hairstyles all the time.

Yes, having landed Inland in Canada and also been to the border to obtain a work visa. From my own experience, hair is the least of your worries.

Make up is a huge worry and when I initially went for my work permit photos, I was instructed to remove all my make up. Hence, why all my pictures make me look like a serial killer.

Like it has been stated above, IO's are trained to look at facial features, my photographer in Vancouver, told me that experienced IO's can almost count the wrinkles on your face, that is if you have any, which I am in no means suggesting you do.

You will be fine, just make sure that if you were wearing ruby red lipstick, you arrive in the same shade at the border....(joke by the way)
