It's terrible when people behave the way the person you describe has acted. He does sound like a racist (there is a lot of black racist on the island) but also a lot of good people who aren’t too....

I live in the Prospect area just South of Fitts Village. Doubt you would be able to walk far along the beach to work unless you had a really low tide. Because there are several places were the cliffs...

I would say it is difficult to immigrate into Barbados. Your best chance is to either have enough money to open a business and apply for visa based on the fact your opening a business or be sponsored...

Thanks for the quick reply Bermudashorts but the local adverts in the newspapers in Barbados and websites of the Big 4 lack any information about salaries and benefits.
