Ok thanks, I have been hoping to get Brit passports for the kids for a while, so will look into getting it done. And the 18600 salary would have to be me earning in the UK first to get my US husband...

Thanks for replies. My kids are US born, do not have British passports. I thought/read that each dependant was about 2000 on top of the 18000 salary requiremsnts. So the salary would be about 30000+...

I have had to deal with these types of insensitive remarks for 15 plus yrs now...so I have slowly begun to ignore them, very difficult though, but I am not as sensitive as I was in the first decade...

Tel8-I came in my late 20's,(thru' marriage) took it as an adventure, been here 15 yrs...but after 10yrs and 4 kids later and the loss of my dad back in the UK, travelled from one end of the country...

mummy- as you have teens how do you think they will cope with the transition to the UK educationally...my 13 yr old is anti-UK and I can't imagine how he will respond to learning about Brits ruling...

I use Raza.com. I call from my cell phone to any UK land lines for $10 for 1000 mins. Raza gives me a local number which I dial first then I dial the Uk number. I also get 60 mins if I need to...

Lots of reasons why it is difficult to get back...have covered it extensively with many of you on the moving back forum and have recieved lots of uplifting advise....but it gets hard as the years go...
