Anyone Regret Moving To USA

Re: Anyone Regret Moving To USA
I'm not sure 'regret' would be the right word because I did gain from living in the US, particularly in self-confidence and financially. But now that I'm back, I do see most of the years I spent in the US as a 'dead zone.' I don't feel we were really living there in the way we are now.
I haven't seen the negative changes here that some talk about. On the contrary, so far I am loving being back. The people, the sense of humour, the TV, the scenery, the history, the culture ....I just feel so grateful to be back. And while I may have had some lost years in America, at least I am now alive again.
It's also a huge relief not to hear daily about guns and religion and strange far right-wing politics. I'm sure we'll come across negatives here but nothing that can outweigh the negatives of all those lost years.

I certainly wouldn't miss not hearing the views of the radical right wing evangelicals, either. It sickens me to listen to it.
