1) You send your ARTC application direct from where you are.
2) You can give an address of someone in AUS where they (TRA) can send your ARTC cert. to. Where they ask for the date you arrived in...

Hi Tony... have you received your licence? I phoned THEM on Friday, they said mine's not ready yet...:thumbdown: still has to be signed by the supervisor!!

Hi, i paid $1385 for the course and all the books on 21/01/2011. Not sure if they charge extra if they have to post out of Adelaide though. For the licence application it was $377. Just call them on...

We are leaving 4 January for Adelaide. Plan to do the Peer course full time.

Hi there, we wrote the test a couple of years ago. My wife is also English and she had to write it too... i am "Afrikaans" and passed it first time. So it shouldn't be a problem for you :)

Flights and accommodation booked, we will arrive 5 January. I have been looking for jobs on Seek with no luck!, hopefully it's the fact that i am over here and don't have a license! Waiting...

Just received an email stating that the application was finalised.
Checked online and my ARTC has been granted...:thumbsup:

That is correct, ARTC, Peer wiring course's and then SA licensing.:)
I am busy with mine from South Africa... will be attending the first available class for 2011 in Adelaide.

Wow that's good news, not what you wanted exactly but still ok.
Nothing from my side, same as you mostly Industrial Maintenance but applied for "Mechanic".

They say most applications are finalised within 30 working days.

I was told that i had to have a visa before applying. But i read on the ARTC application form later that you can apply, but they would only issue the ARTC once you have "permission" to...
