Re: Anyone NOT taking the dog home?

Well, on the upside, it sounds like you have found an awesome potential home for the dog. And with a buddy and owners who are familiar with the breed. This sounds like the ideal solution, and much...

Re: Anyone NOT taking the dog home?

Sorry if I am a bit clueless here, but are you saying that you think she is too tempermental to bring back with you? Do dogs have to be of a placid temperment to transport (I suppose they do, but...

Re: I don't see how we'll ever move back....

Do you think your OH is just a very risk-averse person, or do you think he really wants to stay in canada and is using the job as an excuse? Lots of people would feel the same way, stay where the job...

Re: The long goodbye

I wouldn't take it personally (or I would try not to!) Maybe some folks think you are just floating the idea (or have you a firm return date set, sorry I cannot remember?)

But more likely some...

Re: My oldest son returns to UK tomorrow

Great to hear he is happy, and Gran is obviously glad to have him around!
With a bit of luck next winter will not be as bad as last, so he will have a gentle introduction to British winter!

Re: What have you learnt?

I've learnt that the grass is NOT always greener on the other side, and also that what makes you happy might not make your partner happy, and that is a very difficult issue to resolve.
