Exteding visa expiry date ... is it possible?

Hi All

Does anyone know if its possible to extend the expiry date of a visa?

Ours run out in January 2013 but due to the education stage of our two eldest - Uni degree course ending June 2013...

We validated in Perth as OH has relatives there (auntie, uncle plus 2 cousins and their families) and we thought it would be wise to go somewhere where there was family to help us but to be honest...

Belive me JAJ, we defintely want him to come to Aus with us and study and we're pushing very hard for that to happen BUT there is a good reason why it would be beneficial for him to stay here and...

Thanks for info, it was the news I expected.

No, there's no reason why he can't go to uni in Oz its just that today (pending results) he's been offered a place from his 1st choice...

Sorry if this becomes a long winded question but not too sure how to word it!

We have our skilled visa (136 MODL), issued Jan 08 and validated July 08.

We're still in the UK and the dilema is...
