I use www.thetradingpost.fr for some catered chalets in the winter. I notice they do France south/west in the summer (Bordeaux, Hossegor, Montpellier & the St Tropez peninsula).

I taught in Grenoble. First language school after 2 CDD contracts said thanks but we can't offer you a permanent position. Second language school no permanent contract as the person I was covering...

DMU, I have to disagree with your weather comment not being a major factor. For us it was. Fed up having year on year pathetic weather in the uk so we wanted somewhere with actual seasons i.e. snow...

IMO it's always easier to find reasons not to do something.
Things can be challenging here but so can anywhere.

Come to France, give it a go and have no regrets.
