Re: Nursing job in Australia

Also look for recent posts by eddie007 on the subject of hospitals/units using agencies to find nurses (basically, she says don't bother;)).

There are some hospitals that have more a rehab...

Re: Perth job offer / affordability advice

Tricky Nicky - you said in your first post that you have been offered a salary of $92,000 including super - depending on the % of super, that might reduce your salary quite a bit. I would think...

Re: Patak's sauces - Are they REALLY made in the UK? - My curry still tastes inferior

How am I mocking you? There are towns which are on the west coast and towns which are on the south coast. You were talking about an attempted road to the coast east of Denmark, which just doesn't...

Re: Subsidised Non-Government Schools WA

 - you pay to go to non-govt schools, have never heard of receiving payment to go there. Where did you hear this from?

Re: Patak's sauces - Are they REALLY made in the UK? - My curry still tastes inferior

I've been visiting Denmark for about 26 years and we bought a property there in 1994, so have been going down regularly for a long time, the last time in April this year.

When you're leaving the...

Re: Patak's sauces - Are they REALLY made in the UK? - My curry still tastes inferior

You can remember what Denmark and Albany were like 50 years ago?

You still haven't told me which attempted road you're talking about along the coast between Denmark and Albany. And yes, I do know...

Re: Neighbours - Fencing drama

We had fencing done at 2 properties with these people: http://www.mooreperspectives.com.au/. They were very efficient, quick and nothing's fallen down, think that it's about 5 years. I don't know...

Re: Patak's sauces - Are they REALLY made in the UK? - My curry still tastes inferior

Busselton, Margaret River and Gracetown are on the west coast, and there has been a lot more development over there, but still lots of wonderful spots. Most of the residential sub-divisions have...

Re: Patak's sauces - Are they REALLY made in the UK? - My curry still tastes inferior

The south coast of WA is still untouched, only has a few colonial buildings in comparison with Tasmania. Lots of great local produce, too.

Re: Whats the most difficult kitchen appliance to choose.

Another thing to watch out for is that the rangehood gets properly installed, ie any tubing (fixed or solid) actually connected from the rangehood inside the ceiling, to wherever the flue outside is....

Re: Patak's sauces - Are they REALLY made in the UK? - My curry still tastes inferior

I don't think that we can assume that Indians in Australia cook as well as Indians in the UK, or any other country. There are crap cooks in every cuisine. I can still remember getting a lasagne...

Re: Marangroo Area Info Please!

Hi, I'd say the same thing for renting, in that generally it is not regarded as a 'good' suburb. Yes, it's usually a good idea to stay west of Mitchell Freeway, and failing that, west of Wanneroo...

Re: Marangroo Area Info Please!

Before rushing in, focus on the area, not the house. Remember that they've made the house as nice as possible to divert your attention away from the area.

Look up the crime stats, compare to a...

Re: what do you hate about Oz?

Beautiful climate, scenery, vineyards and local produce at Denmark and Albany, would be a great choice for retirement or an alternative lifestyle:thumbup:.
