Question Deadbeat Landlord! Rental may be getting repossessed - any advice?

Moved into our new rental in December and have had a few people calling round looking for the owners of the place – collection agencies leaving cards, sheriffs office.

We’ve had a fair bit of mail...

Re: Experiences about bringing cat to Australia?

It might be worth checking the exact quarantine period. The regs changed in January to include a rabies check. AFAIK it'll be a minimum of 30 days, if the rabies test is performed in the UK five...

Doree Bonner packed the contents of our home away for shipping last Wednesday.

So far very happy with the service, very professional, very quick and very focussed. They were the cheapest of our...

OK, shippers are coming on Wednesday so we're on the last big push getting stuff sorted and cleaned...

Now I know that soil is a big no-no as far as AQIS is concerned, but just how clean does a...

Re: Anyone taken their iPhone 4 to Aus?

Yeah, that's the main consideration.
If the phone was bought directly from Apple then it will be SIM unlocked and you can easily swap to the Australian Teleco of your choice.
If the phone is on...

Re: Qantas Club - Worth it?

Thanks for all the feedback guys, it's been very helpful.
I'll give membership a go for a year, as we've planned a few trips back for weddings etc. over the course of 2012.

Re: Will my TV, DVD, Mobiles work in OZ

If it's sim unlocked and will run on any network then yes.
Rule of thumb for iPhone 4:
If bought direct from Apple = unlocked
If on contract or bought on high street PAYG = locked.

Re: Health issues a bar to moving to Australia?

I believe the term you're looking for is 'antidepressant'

Back on track:
Although it shouldn’t be an issue, you should be prepared to provide a supporting letter from your GP, and possibly have...

Re: X box

Is the issue more to do with the credit card's 'nationality' than anything else?
eg. UK based XBL account expects a UK CC - surely if you don't have a card linked to XBL and pay for MS points and...

Re: Any other download sites other than The Box?

Re: Any other download sites other than The Box?

Newzbin subs: £12 annual subscription,
NZBMatrix £7 lifetime subscription

and that's if you use nzb files, if you kick it old school with headers/pars/rars it'll be free.

Torrents p0wned. ;)

Re: Any other download sites other than The Box?

It doesn't have to be sleazy torrents for your downloads. :D

Usenet is far superior to Bit Torrent 99% of the time, and usually will see files uploaded before any torrent site does and it remains...
