Yeah we got 40kgs each with Qantas, you just have to make sure that the travel agents tell your operator that its a 'migration flight' some apparently want a copy of your visa & passport, Qantas...

We have a delivery every week from a company that deals with local suppliers for the essentials (milk, bread, fruit & veg, meat etc) and it works out a bit cheaper than the supermarkets.

We brought all the power tools - we cleaned them all up & bagged them (in our minds it helped that then customs would see we'd cleaned them. If any of the hand tools had rust on them we gave them...

Just to adivse I wouldn't recommend Anglo Pacific now that our stuff has arrived. Quite a lot of stuff was damaged (quite a bit of furniture), badly packed (tiffany lamp shade & a crystal decanter...

I do feel for you as it is really difficult, we told our familes as soon as we decided we were going for it to try and get them used to it. Our parents are knocking on a bit so it was real hard........
